   I’ve been digging into the 16-season color analysis for a while now, trying to pinpoint exactly where I fit in. I’ve taken a number of quizzes online, and my results are all over the place—sometimes they say I’m a Deep Summer, other times Soft Winter, and occasionally even Dark Summer. The problem is, when I look at the descriptions, they often seem to overlap, especially with the muted and cool tones mentioned in both Soft Winter and Deep Summer profiles. It’s really overwhelming and discouraging because I’m trying to build a cohesive color collection that actually flatters me rather than guessing blindly.

   I do notice my skin has a cooler undertone, but I’m not sure if it’s truly muted or slightly brighter, which is where the Soft Winter vs. Deep Summer debate is getting me stuck. I also want to understand the characteristic atmosphere that each subtype brings—I keep reading about how Deep Summers have a calm, understated elegance while Soft Winters are cooler but more contrasted, but it’s hard to translate that into what colors truly feel right on me.
